About Pastor Ron
Ron has joyously spent over 15 years in church leadership positions, ranging from his beginnings as a youth leader, then touring with a rock gospel band, to his present position as Senior Pastor of Family Church of Lawrence (FCL).
Together, he and his wife, Vicki, co-founded H2O Ministries in 2004, which provides Bible studies imparting dynamic day-to-day applications. They both have an extreme passion for learning and teaching God’s Word. Ron is also a published author.
In November 2005, Ron answered the call to be the pastor of FCL. Ron is quoted saying…“We have prayed for the Lord to bring people to FCL from all walks of life, all denominational backgrounds, and all ages, who have one thing in common – a desire for truth – and to apply that truth in the way we live. God has answered that prayer!”
Ron is a die-hard athlete and loves sports. He has been a world-ranked athlete in martial arts. He holds a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo and a 2nd degree black belt in Shorin-Ryu Karate. In his earlier years, he worked as a personal fitness trainer in Beverly Hills, California. His clients included celebrities and entertainment personalities such as the Hollywood legend, Rock Hudson.
Ron earned his BA in Biblical Studies and graduated with Highest Honors from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MBTS). He also earned a Master of Arts in Theology from Liberty University Theological Seminary. As a life-long Bible student, Ron has a hunger and passion for God’s Word. He loves Jeremiah 15:16, which says, “Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart…”
